The Greater Lynfrae Civic Association (GLCA) held a Christmas in July lunch at Villager Rugby Club last Friday in honour of the Claremont police. GLCA chairman Roy Henderson thanked the Claremont police for their hard work. There were Christmas carols and a turkey on the menu. Claremont police station commander Colonel Maree Louw thanked the association and said they did their job without expecting anything in return, but the event was a great morale booster. Sergeant Lutchmee Chetty, who celebrated a birthday on the day, added: “To see how the community appreciate our hard work, makes us want to work harder for them.”
