Woodstock police released the following safety tips:
* Parents must teach children to phone them immediately in case of any emergency.
* Leave emergency numbers.
* Don’t leave minor children unsupervised at home.
* Teach children to lock all doors and remove house keys from the door, when inside the house.
* Teach children to run to the nearest room, in cases of emergency, and lock themselves in until it is safe to come back out again.
