Rondebosch Boys’ High School won the UCT Mathematics Competition for the fifth consecutive year. This is the 14th time the school has won the trophy for the best performing school. Rondebosch received 11 individual gold awards and two pair gold awards. Tim Schlesinger has received a gold award every year since he was in Grade 8 and is the second recipient of the Lesley Reeler Trophy for the best individual performance over five years. The throphy was also won last year by a Rondebosch boy. Tim has again been selected for the International Maths Olympiad team to go to Romania in July. Razeen Parker is representing South Africa in the Pan African Maths Olympiad in Kenya in June and Steffan Brundyn will be representing Cape Town in Bulgaria in July. Bishops was placed second and Westerford third.
