Four men robbed a jewellery store at Cavendish Square last week, taking an estimated R1.5 million worth of jewellery.
Two men, one with a gun, entered Kamaldien Jewellers at 10.30am on Tuesday May 8, while two more stood watch outside, say police.
The robbers forced two staff to the back of the store, then grabbed the jewellery from the glass display counters.
One of the robbers fired a shot in the ceiling as they left. The gang fled in a Toyota Yaris with a false licence plate.
There were no injuries, according to Claremont police station commander, Colonel Maree Louw.
The robbers are still at large.
