Kenilworth amateur botanist and author High Clarke received the prestigious Marloth Award at the end of year function held at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens on Wednesday December 11. Struik Nature also launched Hugh’s latest book Quick ID Guide to Wild Flowers of the Cape Peninsula.
The award, named after pharmacist, analytical chemist and botanist Dr Rudolph Marloth can be awarded to any amateur or professional botanist who has produced scientific literature of a popular nature to stimulate public interest in the indigenous flora of southern Africa.
