Police arrested two men in the early hours of yesterday morning for trying to break into the offices of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport in Zonnebloem.
Captain Ezra October, from Cape Town police, said officers patrolling the area at midnight saw two men using a crowbar and hammer to force open a security gate.
The officers seized the crowbar and hammer and arrested the men. They will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on Friday September 21.
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport was not available for comment.
