Medicine Boy will be performing at Mercury Live, 43 De Villiers Street, Zonnebloem, on Friday March 10, at 8pm.
They will be supported by Heroine and The Deathrettes.
Medicine Boy duo Lucy Kruger and Andre Leo have conjured a sound from deep within the reverb tank, where lonesome lullabies and screeching strings find comfort in one another.
Since the band’s live debut in September 2014 they have supported The Black Lips, Allah-Las and Golden Animals on their respective tours of SA, played shows across the country in support of their debut EP, More Knives and performed at national festivals.
Their debut album Kinda Like Electricity, was released in August 2016 and is a collection of influences, from soaring psychedelia and fuzzed-out noise to primal blues rhythms and country folk, all captured in reverb. Tickets cost R60 at the door.
