The Rock on the Lawns music festival takes place on Thursday March 21, which is the Human Rights Day public holiday, at Kenilworth Racecourse.
Indie pop rock icons The Cure, pictured, will be performing while Fokofpolisiekar, Ard Matthews, Karen Zoid, Zebra & Giraffe, Opposite The Other, Southern Wild, Hellcats, Dimond Thug and DJ The Robfather are also on the line-up. The Cure are playing select events around the world as part of a 40-year anniversary tour. The Rock on the Lawns music festivals in Johannesburg and Cape Town will be the first performances in South Africa by The Cure and they are planning a two-hour set filled with fan favourites. The event will include beer gardens and gourmet food trucks. Tickets cost R495 for general admission and R895 for golden circle. Doors open at 11am. Book at Computicket.
