Breaking the Closet’s Pride Edition 2.0 Variety Special will be taking place at the Waves Theatre Café, 44 Long Street, Cape Town, on Thursday February 23, at 7.30pm.

The production aims to amplify queer voices of all ages and backgrounds as they share stories of their experiences in the community as well as their coming-out stories.

This Pride Edition of the production will have a variety twist.

Returning as the host for the evening is comedian Eugene Mathews and also on the line-up are drag artist Pichi Keane, activist and stand-up comedian Saya Pierce-Jones and musician Latheem.

Breaking the Closet is the brainchild of Nicola Date and Eugene Mathews, who felt that it was essential to create a platform for LGBTQIA+ performers to share their stories and connect with audiences from all walks of life.
