La Gratitude Pre-Primary School in Pinelands are once again getting their ducks in a row for their annual Duck Race and craft market on Saturday November 3.
Crafters will be selling their crafts and yummy treats will be on sale.
Entrance is free from 10am until 1:30pm, when they will head down to the Elsieskraal River, next to Pinehurst Primary School for three races.
The first race is for children of the school, the second one is the corporate sponsor’s race and the third will be the public race.
There will be prize-giving back at the school afterwards.
Last year, 1877 ducks raced down the river despite the drought conditions.
Ducks for the races are being sold at various venues around Pinelands. They can also be bought on the day at the school for R20 per duck, but a three quack can be bought for R50 and a six quack for R100.
Tickets for the activities and food vendors can be bought at the gate.
Some of the profits for the fundraiser will be shared with Trinity’s Children Centre in Mitchell’s Plain.
