The Jive Culture Shock, a musical production with Cape Minstrels, Malay choirs and brass bands, is taking place at the Baxter Theatre Concert Hall today, Wednesday December 14, and Friday and Saturday, December 16 and 17.
A few more additions other than the brass bands this year, are singer and songwriter Fagrie Isaacs, and the legendary Armien Vardien and Ali Floris who have come out of retirement to perform.
Actress, choreographer and producer Rushney Furguson and actor and singer Shadley Schroeder, playing the character Boeta Saatjie, are the hosts.
A percentage of each ticket sold will be donated to Fusion Inyameko, which works with orphans and the homeless, and the Red Cross Children’s Trust.
