<>■ Hatch, an exhibition by Zimbabwean artist Roxandra Dardagan Britz at the UCT Irma Stern Museum in Rosebank, is a range of prints, including etchings, monotypes and mixed media, that explores themes on the human condition, with references from animals and the natural world to Greek mythology. Her etchings have the feel of black-and-white photography and are a social commentary on Zimbabwe’s history, such as the genocide in Matabeleland in the early 1980s and the land invasions of 2000. The artist’s walkabout is on Saturday September 23, from 11am to 12.30pm. Pictured is the piece called Protea. Visit www.irmasternmuseum.co.za for details.
