■ Fresh from his stand-up comedy trip on the MSC Sinfonia, Cape Town comedian Wayne McKay and friends will entertain you with his latest one-man show, Fresh off the boat, on Friday and Saturday June 29 and 30, at 8pm, at Mesopotamia restaurant, at 36 Burg Street, in the city centre. With his latest show, McKay, a Strandfontein resident, makes Capetonians examine everything they thought they knew about race, culture and … polony. Having had passengers in stitches on the MSC Sinfonia, McKay says he is looking forward to entertaining Cape Town audiences. “It’s a very intimate show that deals with lots of issues in our country. I talk about my first journey on a cruise liner, the Patty de Lille saga and of course the water crisis. The Cape Town audience is always a thrill to entertain – I love this city vibe and culture.” McKay will have up-and-coming comedians Reagan Allen and Lunga Tshuka as his opening acts on June 29 and Keegan Cerff and Khanyiso Kenqa on June 30. Tickets for the show are R120 and can be booked by calling 082 724 7968.
