SA Cocktail Week, an annual celebration of South Africa’s cocktail scene, is launching in Cape Town on Friday October 28 and runs until Sunday November 6.
The first edition of SA Cocktail Week will host two main events, along with many smaller ones taking place throughout the week at participating venues such as The Park Inn at the Foreshore, Orphanage Cocktail Bar in Bree Street, Buena Vista Social Cafe in Green Point and The Metropolitan Golf Club in Green Point.
The festival will kick off with the grand opening at the Cape Quarter in Green Point on Friday October 28.
A Toast to Summer is the theme to the official closing event inspired by the view of the ocean and Cape Town’s popular summer nights. Happening at the Hotel School in Granger Bay on Saturday November 5, the event will feature Cape Town’s first ever cocktail exhibition.
There will be live music for entertainment, and the hotel school will have a fully-operational kitchen on the night.
Apart from the two main events, which are open to all wrist band holders, festival goers are encouraged to try any of the signature cocktails which will be served at participating venues including The Grand Daddy Hotel, Cabrito, Kloof Street House, Cafe Mojito, 15 On Orange and The Odyssey among others.
SA Cocktail Week also feature events which include a round of sunset cocktails and golf, international Jazz act Lanore Raphael at the Rockwell Theater, the official Tanqueray party at Orphanage and cocktail master classes where you can learn how to make a perfect cocktail combination.
