Charity fund-raiser

The annual Last Night of the Proms concert takes place on Saturday March 14, at 7pm, and Sunday March 15, at 5pm at the City Hall. The charity fund-raiser, orchestrated by the Rotary Club of Wynberg, is led by conductor Richard Cock. On the line-up are violinist Jordon Brooks, pianist Rocco de Villiers and opera singer Nombulelo Yende. The charities benefiting from proceeds this year will include Friends of Music and Beau Soleil, two NPOs dedicated to the development of new and promising musicians. Lucky draw prizes will be up for grabs. Tickets are on sale at Computicket for R250, R300 and R350.
