■ Newlands dancer Neline Theron will perform in the International Ballet Gala taking place at the Artscape Theatre, on Saturday September 2 and Sunday September 3. Neline, who won the gold medal in the junior contemporary section of the 2016 SA International Ballet Competition, will join international dancers on stage and perform in a number of ballet classics, including Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Le Corsaire .
